Wow—what a busy month it’s been at the Guild! With renovations in full swing and fundraising stalls galore. So many people have commented on how bright and fresh the hall looks now—thank you for all your positive feedback! A big shoutout to Phil, our brilliant handyman, for all his hard work painting the hall.
A special thank you to Wimbledon High School for Girls, who joined us for three fantastic days. The students not only helped us paint the fences but also spent valuable time chatting and having fun with our community. We can’t wait to welcome the girls back in early September for more fun intergenerational activities—watch this space for upcoming events such as the famous karaoke, darts and dominoes!
Priority Services Register Coffee Morning – What a Buzz!
The dynamic duo Jon and Marc from Wimbledon Guild took over our usual Wednesday coffee morning—and what a fantastic atmosphere it was! It was standing room only, with plenty of lively chat (and of course, plenty of cake!) as we explored energy bills and the different types of help available.
7 people signed up to the Priority Services Register
Home visits planned for those needing extra support
Lots of happy attendees leaving with helpful advice and big smiles!
A huge thank you to Jon and Marc for taking time out to visit us. We’re excited tosay this won’t be the last you see of the Wimbledon Guild—we’re teaming up again on 7 August for a fun drumming session right here at the hall, run by FlowCommunity Drumming CIC.

We’re delighted to share some lovely news— Anna Detka has welcomed a beautiful baby girl! Little Eli was born on 26 June and both mum and baby are doing well.
In the meantime, the ever-popular Funky Feet Clinic is in safe hands with Catherine, who is keeping things running
smoothly and is busier than ever. Catherine is also offering home visits, so please get in touch if you need an appointment.

We had a fantastic time at the Mitcham Carnival, proudly running our stall to support the Mayor’s charity raffle. As one of the Mayor’s nominated charities this year, we teamed up with our friends from Commonside Trust to sell as many tickets as possible—and the community didn’t disappoint! A massive thank you to our brilliant team:
Max (aka “The Legend”) and Phil for their muscle power with set-up andpack-down
Callum for manning the stall
Young Amelia, who took on a supervisory role with great style
And a special mention to Deputy Mayor, Councillor Shuile Syeda, who wowed the crowd with a “Del Boy”-style ticket-selling performance! With beautiful weather and a refreshing breeze, it was a long but thoroughly enjoyable day—and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!.
Morden Family Funday – Sunshine, Smiles & Fundraising!
It was all hands on deck for the annual Morden Family Funday in Morden Park—our big final fundraising push of the year, and what a day it turned out to be!
Glorious sunshine (a big change from last year’s downpour!)
Bottles flying off the stall—we almost sold out!
Yvonne, our superstar saleswoman, was on top form alongside the brilliant Jean.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated bottles, volunteered their time, and worked behind the scenes to make the day such a success. Every penny raised will go towards supporting our community.
